w/ Meaghan Shelton
The Willy Willy LE (colab with Meaghan Shelton).
Meaghan Shelton is a Queensland based contemporary Australian artist. From her studio situated in the Hinterland of the Sunshine Coast she utilizes her multidisciplinary art practice to explore the conceptual and semiotic values of her materials of choice. Shelton’s broad skill base often brings her to engage with other Creatives, inspiring collaborations such as the Fritz Frames project. An RMIT graduate, majoring in painting, Shelton is first and foremost a Fine Artist whose milieu extends to writing, fashion, film, design and arts education. She is represented by Spiro Grace Art Rooms, Brisbane and exhibits throughout Australia. Her work is held in public and private collections in Australia and overseas.
Shelton has a long held fascination for the sea and its link to the unconscious, specifically the feminine unconscious. Her understanding of aquatic life forms is instinctual providing a visual language by which she blends her characteristic otherworldliness with everyday objects.
